Week of May 2nd to May 5th

This week you will finish off chapter 6 (if you haven't already done so) and you will be starting chapter 7. Keep in mind, your test (which will occur in about 2 weeks or so) will be based on chapters 6, 7, and 8. Stay on top of the work and email me if you have questions and/or concerns.

P.S. Your newspaper project OR YOUR BOARD GAME PROJECT needs to be handed in BY MAY 5TH (THURSDAY) prior to you leaving for the long weekend (PRO-D on Friday).

P.P.S. Tomorrow is election day....make sure to tell your parents, grandparents, older siblings, and anyone else who is able to vote to go vote! If they don't know or understand party platforms YOU can tell them since we learned about it at the beginning of the semester!

Week of April 18th to April 21st

Here are the plans for this week:

Monday
Period 1 - You will begin on a project. We will save the movie for double block Tuesday :)
Period 3 - You will be watching the movie during double block and I will introduce the project at the end of the movie.

Tuesday
Period 1 - You will be watching the movie.
Period 3 - You will be working on the project.

Wednesday/Thursday
Project time (in class). Please use your time wisely as this project will be due May 2nd with no more class time after this week! Unfortunately we will not have access to a computer lab or the library :(

We will be moving on to Chapter 6 (Post-War/Cold War) during the week of April 26th to April 29th.

Chapter 5 Test (Multiple Choice, Short Answers, Map, Matching, Fill in the Blanks - Remember, if you miss this test it will affect your mark for your report card since marks cut-off for this report card will be long gone. DO NOT MISS THIS TEST. (If you do miss this test the marks will show up in the report card for June).
2. Closure - What did this war mean to Canada?

Friday Quiz

No, you do not have a freaky friday quiz this week.....

For period 1 people - bring your battles worksheet (the stuff I gave you today) to use during Friday's quiz.

For period 3 people - you are having a double quiz. It will be based on pages 127 to 132 (yesterdays material) and todays battles. *You may also use todays battle worksheet that the substitute gave to you during the quiz.

If you use todays worksheet on Friday's quiz, you will be handing it in along with your quiz.

- APRIL 15th - Chapter 5 Test (World War II) (thats next Friday).
- TOMORROW - afterschool - if you have missed a test OR quiz tomorrow is the day that you can make it up.
